The MNCG has accomplished the first appointment scheduled for this year related to the CIMIC Liaison Module, running the 1/2012 work session from 16 to 19 Apr 2012.
The Course is designed to provide former NATO CIMIC Basic course’s students with knowledge, skills and tools needed to enhance their CIMIC Liaison capabilities with special reference to multinational and multidimensional contexts that characterize current NATO’s Theatres of Operations.
Located in the Academic Building Facilities, the 4 days of full immersion working session has been conceived as a logical follow-up to the NATO CIMIC Basic Course (NCBC) within the CIMIC functional area. The 20 participants were both civilian and military personnel.

NATO CIMIC Basic Course revised edition

Motta di Livenza, Italy (February 13) - The first NATO CIMIC Basic course revised edition was completed at Multinational CIMIC Group, Feb. 10.

The two-week course was attended by more than 20 participants, including 11 civilians, and conducted with the support of external Instructors from US Civil Affairs and from Belgian CIMIC Unit as well as with the contribution of Subject Matter Experts from Joint Force Command Naples.

The course enabled Officers and NCOs to conduct CIMIC activities across the full spectrum of military engagement in a modern operational environment, from tactical level up to Command Level.

NATO CIMIC Basic course revised edition also created awareness for those participants representing Civil Organizations and individuals who have a vested interest in CIMIC to conduct their activities.

Thanks to a sequence of lectures, negotiation and assessment syndicates as well as a joint exercise based on a complex NATO scenario, NCBC revised edition stressed CIMIC tactical and operational procedures and provided participants with a full package of information that can be shared with Civil organizations to enhance the level of cooperation in areas of crisis.
