CIMIC Liaison Module 01/2012
The MNCG has accomplished the first appointment scheduled for this year related to the CIMIC Liaison Module, running the 1/2012 work session from 16 to 19 Apr 2012.
The Course is designed to provide former NATO CIMIC Basic course’s students with knowledge, skills and tools needed to enhance their CIMIC Liaison capabilities with special reference to multinational and multidimensional contexts that characterize current NATO’s Theatres of Operations.
Located in the Academic Building Facilities, the 4 days of full immersion working session has been conceived as a logical follow-up to the NATO CIMIC Basic Course (NCBC) within the CIMIC functional area. The 20 participants were both civilian and military personnel.
Very interesting and fruitful was also the VTC on the Liaison activities in the Haiti Humanitarian Relief Operation, providing the students with a general overview about Liaison Officer tasks carrying out his cooperation and coordination functions with WFP, UN OCHA, MINUSTAH.

Female Engagement Team Course 01/2012, from 14 to 16 Feb 2012
The MNCG has organized and run the 1st Female Engagement Team Course work session from 14 to 16 February 2012, in favor of female military personnel from Italian GARIBALDI Brigade, appointed to be deployed in Afghanistan within the ISAF mission.
The students were about 25 and the course has been designed to train the appointed Female Engagement Teams (FETs) in TFs and PRTs, providing guidance and direction for implementing coordinated cooperation with Afghan females, and reporting to the MNCG as Reach Back HQ, in order to identify lessons learned and best practice.
The module, located at MNCG HQ and lasting 3 days, had the main purpose to provide the students with Afghan culture and tradition background, Afghan Law status and Shari’a, awareness on NATO FET doctrine and references, female status and roles in Heart province, working with interpreter, Medical approach for MedCap, Regional Command West and Italian Provincial Reconstruction Team HQ structures and organization.
